Professor William Henderson writes that legal education and the legal profession under-invest in developmental feedback. In the years to come, however, that is bound to change. The reason is simple: The costs of feedback, in time and emotional labor, are outweighed by its benefits. The more competitive marketplace will therefore cause legal educators and lawyers to rediscover the power of direct, candid, and timely feedback to young professionals.
