The majority of women entering multimillionaire marriages are on the same financial footing as men or better, a survey by Bank of America Corp.’s U.S. Trust unit shows, reports Bloomberg.
Fifty-two percent of women came into their marriage or live-in relationship with equal or more assets than their spouse or partner, according to U.S. Trust. Respondents had at least $3 million in investable assets.
“Women are both wealth creators and wealth inheritors,” Chris Heilmann, chief fiduciary executive at U.S. Trust, said in an interview. “They are bringing assets to a relationship.”
