People tend to meet the deadlines more likely when the deadlines are in the same year of the date when the resolutions are made, studies find. Also, it is found that people are “more likely to start working on a task whose deadline is in the current month than in the next month.”
Colors also can influence the ability to meet deadlines. For example, it is more likely to meet the deadline if the deadline and the start date are coded with the same color on a calendar.
