A recent case in a US District Court for the Western District of Washington, United States v. William A. Sygitowicz et al., held that the government has valid tax and judgment liens on property that a couple fraudulently conveyed to a couple of friends in a purported sale and held that the government is entitled to foreclose its liens on the property to satisfy the couple’s unpaid taxes.
