Richard P. Sills is a Senior Partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Holland & Knight LLP. He has over 30 years' experience representing clients in the areas of taxation, exempt organizations, and trusts and estates. Mr. Sills' exempt organization practice includes advising private foundations, community foundations with donor advised funds, publicly-supported charities and charitable remainder trusts, as well as non-charitable exempt organizations such as trade associations and clubs. He counsels tax-exempt organizations on governance issues as well as tax issues, and has obtained numerous private letter rulings from IRS in the exempt organization area. His practice also includes estate planning, preparation of wills and trusts, all aspects of estate and trust administration, and the representation of clients in audits and tax controversies.
