Today SEC Commissioners unanimously approved for comment proposed rules implementing Section 941(b) of the Dodd-Frank financial reforms. The proposed rules include disclosure and retention requirements regarding asset backed securities (“ABS’s”), such as collateralized debt obligations (“CMO’s”), which are recognized to have played a large role in the recent financial crisis.
