Gary M. Giallonardo, BSE, MBA, is president and founder of Industrial Visions Company (IVC).
Giallonardo created IVC in 2001 as a business development resource geared
to the unique needs of small to medium-sized, closely-held,
business-to-business manufacturers and service providers. Many IVC clients are family-owned and/or
operated. IVC's research-based methods
are designed to infuse sales and profitability into these organizations through
detailed planning, analysis, infrastructure development and implementation
services.
Holding a BSE from Princeton University and
an MBA in marketing and finance from the Katz Graduate School of Business at
the University of Pittsburgh, Giallonardo founded Industrial Visions Company
based on his awareness of the disadvantages many small firms experience by not
having the knowledge-based decision making tools available through a trusted and
affordable business development resource.
In IVC, Giallonardo functions as the
primary strategist and implementation manager, utilizing the skills and
expertise of additional affiliates as needed for the specific situation. In most cases, Industrial Visions Company clients
work directly with Giallonardo throughout the program.
IVC provides outsourced business
development and growth programs to organizations like the Michigan
Manufacturing Technology Center and the Great Lakes Trade Adjustment Assistance
Center. In 2008, IVC client Duperon Corporation
received the Michigan Manufacturer of the Year Award, "Small Tier" category by
the Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA). Aircraft Precision Products Inc., another IVC
client, received an honorable mention in 2007. IVC provided strategic marketing and
diversification assistance to both companies prior to the recognition by MMA.
Giallonardo's business development background includes managing sales and
marketing organizations for business-to-business manufacturers such as
Hewlett-Packard, PPG Industries, Inc., Avery Dennison Corporation, and Lilly
Industries, Inc., along with a variety of smaller manufacturers.
Giallonardo was a finalist for the Ernst
& Young 2004 Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He was also a finalist in the
2004 Platinum Award competition of the Marketing and Sales Executives of
Detroit. Giallonardo sits on the Board
of Directors of Aircraft Precision Products, Inc. He is a Marketing Committee Member of the
Association for Corporate Growth, a Manufacturing Committee Member of the
Michigan Association of CPAs, and is actively involved in several community
organizations.
