Paul D. Pearlstein was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 1962, the District of Columbia Bar in 1963, and the Maryland Bar in 1990. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Virginia School of Law. He served in the Army Signal Corps at SHAPE HQ in Paris and was a captain in the USAR. Mr. Pearlstein concentrates his practice in bankruptcy, real property, estate planning and probate, handling civil trials and appeals. Mr. Pearlstein is Certified as a Business Bankruptcy Specialist by the American Board of Certification and is a member and chair of the Advisory Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Columbia. He has taught bankruptcy and real estate to his legal colleagues and has written and been published on fraudulent conveyances, administrative claim priorities, liens, foreclosures, environmental problems, lease options, asset protection, estate planning and probate. He arbitrates for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA) panel of arbitrators and has successfully lobbied for improved real estate and probate law in the District of Columbia. Paul is married and has four children. He is an active musician and races outrigger canoes. |
