Nancy G. Fax, a principal and managing partner of the law firm of Pasternak & Fidis, P.C. Ms. Fax is a tax attorney who concentrates in the fields of estate and family business planning, and estate and trust administration. 

Ms. Fax is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Council (ACTEC), and is the Maryland State Chair.  In addition, she serves on ACTEC's State Laws Committee and will become the Chair of the State Laws Committee in 2007.  She is the immediate past Chair of the Section Council of the Estate and Trust Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association and is a former Chair of the Estates, Trusts and Probate Law Section of the District of Columbia Bar. She also served as the  Vice Chair of the Estate Planning Committee of the Taxation Section of the District of Columbia Bar.  She founded The District of Columbia Estates, Trusts and Probate Law Digest, a research manual published by the District of Columbia Bar, and she served as editor for many years.  Ms. Fax also is a member of the Washington, D.C. Estate Planning Council. 

In addition to her membership in the District of Columbia Bar and the Maryland Bar, Ms. Fax is a member of the American Bar Association (Section on Taxation). Ms. Fax is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics at professional and community programs.  She has been selected in 2006 and 2007 for inclusion in Best Lawyers in Trust and Estates Law, a peer-reviewed reference guide to the legal industry.  Ms. Fax graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1978 and earned her Masters of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Georgetown in 1986.  In addition to her professional activities, Ms. Fax has served as the Chair of the Montgomery County Community Foundation, which is an affiliate of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region.
