Michael R. Savage Michael Savage is a Wealth
Strategist at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. In this
role, Michael develops and presents strategies for clients related to income
tax planning, gift and estate planning, charitable planning and cash flow management. Prior to joining U.S.
Trust, Michael served for nearly 10 years as a Senior Manager in the Private
Client Services group at Ernst & Young, LLP. Before joining Ernst &
Young, Michael practiced tax and securities law at a regional firm in Denver, Colorado,
and was an Assistant City attorney for the City and County of Denver. Michael's primary specialties are financial, tax, and estate planning for executives and high net worth individuals, with particular strength in sophisticated income and wealth transfer strategies. Additionally, Michael has extensive experience in investment planning, education planning and equity compensation. He speaks regularly on matters of tax and financial planning. Michael received his B.A., magna
cum laude, from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and his J.D. from
the University of Colorado School of Law, where he also received a Tax
Certificate. Michael is a member the District of Columbia Bar, Colorado Bar,
and a Certified Financial Planner®. Michael is a member of the DC Estate Planning Council, the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council and a member of the University of Colorado Law Alumni Board. He volunteers his time a the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Catholic Charities USA. Michael speaks conversational Ukrainian. |
