Mr. Jonathan R. Legg, Senior Vice President & Wealth Advisor, joined Morgan Stanley in January, 1999. He is a current member of Chairman’s Club, which represents an exclusive membership of the firm’s top 1% of financial advisors. He is Series 7, 24 principal, 63, 65, managed futures and advanced options licensed.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Legg founded the Private Client Group at Friedman, Billings & Ramsey (FBR) and served as Managing Director. He began his career in the securities industry 10 years ago at Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc., where he served as Vice President, Investments, and was the youngest broker to join Chairman’s Council, President’s Council and Advisory Board, which represented the top 1% of the firm’s financial advisors.
Mr. Legg is an active member of the venture capital community as a limited partner in several private equity and venture capital funds, specifically the Maryland Angels Council, eMedia Club and the Dinner Club. He is active in the College of William & Mary Annual Fund, and the Woodberry Forest School Advisory Board. Jonathan played football and graduated from both Woodberry Forest and The College of William and Mary.
Mr. Legg is an avid golfer and tennis player. Mr. Legg and his wife, Elizabeth Bouchard Legg, reside in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with their daughters, Avery and Bramley, and son, Spencer.
