Mr. Gal N. Kaufman practices in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, tax planning, business succession planning, general corporate and commercial law. Mr. Kaufman represents individuals (both U.S. and non-residents), families, estates, trusts, foundations, partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations. Mr. Kaufman is experienced in transfer taxation (i.e., estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxation), income taxation (partnership, corporate and individual taxation), asset protection planning (including the establishment and administration of off-shore trusts), and charitable giving, as well as in the areas of corporate formation and operation and general commercial law.
Mr. Kaufman received his B.S. from the University of Maryland in College Park in 1988, his J.D. cum laude from the American University, Washington College of Law in 1992 and his LL.M. in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1993. Mr. Kaufman is a life-long resident of Montgomery County, Maryland.
