CBO: Taxing Businesses Through the Individual Business Tax

The Congressional Budget Office released a report the shows how the proportion of firms organized as pass-through entities, and their share of business receipts, has substantially increased over the past couple of decades. These changes have had effects on federal revenues and have led the CBO to examine alternative approaches to taxing business profits.
