In A Therapeutic Jurisprudential Framework of Estate Planning, 35 Seattle U. L. Rev. 427 (2012), the author examines the psychological consequences attributable to the estate planning process. In the two part analysis, the author first details both the positive and negative impact of the estate planning process on one's psychological well-being, noting the overall therapeutic impact of the process. The article further analyzes the therapeutic and antitherapeutic aspects of estate planning, exploring current reforms in the laws of succession planning and encouraging its continued analysis through the context of a therapeutic jurisprudential framework.
