Government Plans to Meet January 1 Effective Date for FATCA

Tax Notes has posted information regarding the effective date of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act. According to the article, the effective date of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act will be January 1, 2013 and that taxpayers and practitioners should submit comments on how much time is needed to comply with the specific requirements.
