In a Tax Notes article, Bruce Bartlett examines recent poll results finding that Americans support raising taxes on higher-income individuals and how this may present a problem for Romney as the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Bartlett contendes that while no tax increase for wealthy individuals is likely before the election, President Obama and Democrats on the Hill are sure to campaign on income inequality and these poll results indicate that many Americans may be willing to listen.
