Reuters published an article by Chris
Taylor titled "Helping Your Kids Buy a House."
In the article Mr. Taylor explores the economic realities that young
homebuyers are faced with. The homes are
more affordable now than they were prior to the housing bust with interest
rates being near historic lows. However,
many young Americans do not have enough finances to avail themselves of this
opportunity. More and more first-time
homebuyers turn to their parents for a helping hand. In this article, Mr. Taylor explores the ways
in which parents can assist their children with the purchase of their home,
including giving them cash, becoming a mortgage lender and buying the house
together.
