It was a difficult and acrimonious year for the President and Congress. Taxes, spending, and the deficit caused for many battles. However, approaching an election year for both the Congress and the President will present new challenges on the issue of taxes. Deloitte highlights the upcoming tax issues for 2012 that must be dealt with before the voters have a chance to make their decision on the direction the country is headed.
