The congressional super committee's failure to reach an agreement is creating concerns for a variety of different groups. One group are farmers who have less certainty with regards to the estate tax on farms. With 2012 being an election year the fear is that a lame duck congress will have to address the estate tax issue mere weeks before the current rate expires. Thus, creating skepticism and uncertainty as to whether a deal will be reached.
