Chasing After the Debts of the Dead

Although it may seem apathetic and insensitive, banks have the legal right to contact family members regarding the collection of the deceased's death. However, it should be explicitly noted that  family members are not typically liable for a deceased family member's debts. Some exceptions include debts from joint accounts or co-signed loans.
