IRS Extends Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Initiative Deadline to September 9

TrackBacks (0) Comments (0)

The IRS has extended the deadline for the Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Initiative from August 31 to September 9 due to Hurricane Irene. This extension also applies to filing for the 90-day extension in IRS Q&A 25.1. However, the extension does not expressly apply to the August 31 deadline for taxpayers that would have owed no tax but failed to file the appropriate forms.
