A post on Drovers entitled "Repeal of Ohio Estate Tax Concerns Transition Planning Professionals" discusses some of the concerns that those in agriculture have with the estate tax. Of particular concern is the notion of asset (i.e. land, livestock, equipment) rich, cash poor. The estate tax may require liquidation of assets to access cash, undermining the farm's operation.
