The IRS issued a recent press release reminding taxpayers of the April 18 filing deadline. The IRS also said that so far, 82 million returns have been filed. The number is roughly what is expected for this point in the season, but the IRS did note that it has processed 3% more returns this year than it had at the same point last year.
