McGuire Woods has included Harkleroad v. Linkous in its latest update on "Recent Virginia Cases of Interest to Fiduciaries".   In Harkleroad v. Linkous, the Virginia Supreme Court upheld a claim of adverse possession, notwithstanding the fact that the adverse possessors were unaware that they held title to less than the complete ownership of the property and were likewise unaware of the existence of other claimants to the property.
