The Journal of Financial Planning published an article titled "Real-World Index Annuity Returns" by Geoffrey VanderPal, Jack Marrion and David F. Babbel.  In their article, the authors attempt to dispel errors that typify previous studies of potential index annuity performance.  The authors argue that fixed indexed annuities can be competitive with other asset classes.
