The Taxation Section of the American Bar Association will host a teleconference on Wednesday, December 8th from 1:00PM - 2:30PM. Depending on their state of residence, attorneys can earn either 1.5 or 1.8 CLE credits for their attendence.
The Teleconference will discuss how the 2010 Midterm election is likely to have a sweeping impact on tax policy over the next two years and what that impact will mean for the insurance industry. A panel of experts representing five major insurance trade associations will offer their perspectives on the outcome of the midterm elections. They will discuss the impact of leadership changes, new committee chairs, and the composition of the Democratic and Republican caucuses in the House and Senate on tax policy and legislation. Finally, each panelist will share their understanding of how their specific segment of the insurance industry may be impacted by the elections and the changes they will bring.
The panelists are:
- JC Scott, Senior Vice President, Federal Relations, American Council of Life Insurers, Washington, DC
