Robert Rubin, former secretary of the US Treasury and co-chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations, and Julian Robertson, chairman of Tiger Management LLC, published an article for the Wall Street Journal entitled: Bring Back the Estate Tax Now. Rubin and Robertson propose that the estate tax be placed at the 2009 rate. Specifically, they contend that the estate tax has the least economic impact and continues to reinforce the philosophy of meritocracy that best serves the economy.
