Judge Dismisses Tax Shelter Malpractice, Allows RICO Claim

A federal district court judge in the Eastern District of Louisiana dismissed claims of malpractice, fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud against an attorney and his firm for work with abusive tax shelters in the case Conwill v. Greenberg Traurig, LLP.  However, the judge did not dismiss claims under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
