Four Big Changes in the Marketing Industry

Mike Moran, who writes for the Biznology blog, has published an article detailing what he expects to be four major changes that "the smartest" professionals in the marketing industry are trying to accommodate; they are:
  • More technology: Moran notes that with new technologies introduced every year, some marketing chiefs have considered appointing marketing technology czars.
  • More anthropology: Says Moran,"When you think about how social media is built around communities, ... you could do worse than focus on how culture affects the way people interact online."
  • More public relations: Communications experts have helped solve struggles with social media for marketing professionals.
  • More metrics: Because of the expansion of internet consumerism, it is very easy to measure response rates, putting more pressure on marketers.
