The Battle Over Gary Coleman's Estate

TrackBacks (0) Comments (0)

The battle over Gary Coleman's estate continues. The dispute involves Coleman's ex-wife, Shannon Price, and Coleman's former manger, Dion Mial. A 1999 will, filed for probate in Utah's 4th District Court, names Mial as the executor of Coleman's estate and fails to mention Price. However, Price plans to contest the 1999 will and claims to have a handwritten codicil drafted by Coleman in 2007 that leaves his entire estate to Price. One problem. Coleman and Price divorced in 2008 and under Utah law the codicil is automatically revoked upon the couple's divorce.

For more information on the dispute, see this Salt Lake Tribune article and this report posted on Radar Online.
