Estate of Alayon

In Estate of Alayon, decided on April 30, the Surrogate's Court of of King's County, New York held that the legal fees awarded by a Surrogate who was later removed from office should be returned until an accurate accounting of the services actually provided could be made. "The portions of each decree in the above-captioned estates which fixed the Legal fees for Louis It Rosenthal are vacated. Louis It Rosenthal shall file affidavits detailing the legal services he provided in each of the respective subject estates within 90 days of the service upon his counsel of a copy of this decision and order with Notice of Entry."
