Congress Still Uncertain About Estate Tax Legislation

In June, Congress is expected to start work on legislation to renew the Bush tax cuts that are set to expire at the end of the year, according to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer. However, the time-frame to fix the estate tax is still vague. Hoyer said that he expects work on the estate tax to begin soon, but he didn't know whether the two tax measures would be rolled into a single piece of legislation or passed separately.
