IRS Announces April AFRs

Revenue Ruling 2010-11 provides various prescribed rates for federal income tax purposes for April 2010 (current month) including the applicable federal interest rates, the adjusted applicable federal interest rates, the adjusted federal long-term rate, and the adjusted federal long-term tax-exempt rate. These rates are determined as prescribed by section 1274.

The section 7520 rate is 3.2 percent.

The AFRs are as follows:

Short-Term:

  • Annual:                  .67 percent
  • Semi-Annual:          .67 percent         
  • Quarterly:               .67 percent
  • Monthly:                 .67 percent
Mid-Term:

  • Annual:                  2.70 percent
  • Semi-Annual:          2.68 percent
  • Quarterly:               2.67 percent
  • Monthly:                 2.67 percent
Long-Term:

  • Annual:                  4.40 percent
  • Semi-Annual:          4.35 percent
  • Quarterly:               4.33 percent
  • Monthly:                 4.31 percent
