Dow Jones Newswires: "US Rep. Rangel: Unsure If A Retroactive Estate Tax Will Be Passed"

Dow Jones Newswires, in an article captioned "US Rep. Rangel: Unsure If A Retroactive Estate Tax Will Be Passed," reports that Rep. Charles Rangel, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, said he is unsure whether there will be legislation to retroactively apply the estate tax to Jan. 1. The article quotes Rep. Rangel as saying that while the estate tax will be reinstated following the completion of the health-care talks, he was unsure about retroactivity: "I don't like retroactivity, but you can never tell," Rep. Rangel said.
