Tax Notes Article by Jeremiah Coder examines the Renewed Focus the IRS is Putting on its Nonfiled Gift Tax Return Program

Tax Notes has published an article by Jeremiah Coder. The article examines Kyle Martin's, a supervisory estate tax attorney with the IRS, proposition that the IRS is putting a renewed focus on its nonfiled gift tax return program. He said the IRS has been finding significant noncompliance in the gift return arena fueled by increased information sharing between the federal and state governments.
