Senate Bill Would Permanently Extend 2009 Estate Tax Law

On November 17, 2009, Senator Thomas Carper, D-Del., introduced S. 2784, which would permanently extend the estate tax as in effect in 2009.

Yes it would seem that we are destined for a 3.5 million annual exclusion amount on going. As my article above discussed, all prior proposals have also essentially extended the 3.5 million applicable exclusion amount. This include a prior Senate and House Bill, and the Treasury proposal.
