The NYT, in an article titled "In Search of Competent (and Honest) Advisors" summarizes a survey of 238 private banks and wealth management firms published by Pricewaterhouse Coopers. The article concludes that the "economic crisis has presented client relationship managers with
challenges that they have neither the experience nor the skills to deal
with." The articles continues by discussing what individuals must do to search out and conduct due diligence on prospective financial advisers.
